We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountantto join our team. You will bring your expertise and specialist knowledge tosupport the organisation in meeting our financial accountabilities, ensuringaccurate financial reporting, hand in hand with managing the relationship withCouncils CCTO.
In this role you will review and update accounting standardrequirements and deliver the Annual Report.
Other responsibilities:
Prepare professional, complete and accurate entity financial and regulatory reporting ensuring compliance with GAAP, Local Governance Act (LGA) and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
Responsible for assisting in the preparation, review, analysis and reporting of financial information.
Regulatory reporting preparation, review and analysis of various regulatory and statistical returns.
Management reporting preparation review and analysis.
Work with business functions to facilitate correct reporting and disclosure.
Iakoe – About You
To be considered for the role you must have bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Finance or Commerce and be CA/CPA qualified with a minimum of 3years’ experience in a similar role. Comprehensive understanding ofInternational Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and current GenerallyAccepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is essential.
The ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines whilehaving an exceptional eye for detail will set you up for success. This rolerequires an enthusiastic, positive professional with an appetite for challenge,who can contribute to the strength and reliability of our financial results.
You will enjoy sharing your knowledge as a senior member of theAccounting Services team you will mentor your financial peers.
