Your RoleAs a member of the Noted engineering team you?ll be responsible for helping shape and develop the frontend of the Noted set of products. Focusing on the delivery of scalable and performant UI and experiences that help drive the best outcomes for our customers.
Responsibilities:
Building out the capabilities of our set of products, with the help of our CTO and the rest of the team
Maintaining and fixing bugs and issues on the codebase
Helping scope out and build new features
Helping define software patterns and practices for future engineers on the team
Mentoring junior engineers and being part of a proactive team
Helping with hiring interviews and building out the team as needed

New Zealand based - We\'d prefer someone able to work from Wellington (where our office is) but we\'re open to considering other regions
Strong experience in a software engineering team, preferably on web applications and JavaScript
A solid understanding of repositories and version control within a team contextWe don\'t focus on a CV but instead want to hear about your unique experiences and what would make you an amazing member of the Noted engineering team.
Some experience of the following would be useful:
React and/or AngularJS - Our front end code is mixed between React.js and AngularJS based (our longer term strategy is to move over to React 100%), some knowledge of this would be an advantage
Java - Our back end systems are written pretty much exclusively to run on Java so knowledge of Java and an interest in server side systems would be an advantage but not a requirement
SQL Databases (MySQL in this case) Have you worked with SQL queries, ORMs or other technology around databases? That might help too
GraphQL - We use GraphQL pretty extensively between frontend and backend so knowledge of that would be awesome
APIs - or more definitively REST based web APIs. We interact with a lot of systems and so a knowledge of these would be a bonus
CD/CI - We use CircleCI pipelines to deploy our app so knowledge of it (or similar products) is a plus
Cloud infrastructure - We host our apps using AWS services so knowledge here helps understanding how apps fit into the wider Noted context
Experience with helping mentor other engineers (we expect this team to grow over time)
