Job Description
We are looking for an Enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to join our Team. The Role as we see it mixes Software Engineering with a Systems enthusiast. We love to hear from those people who want to improve everything.
Our team currently is small and growing, so there will be opportunities to help form the direction of this role, the tooling and systems used in the business.
Qualifications
Here is what we are looking for:
Experience in creating & maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or CircleCI
Experience in automating Infrastructure using tools such as Terraform.
Experience in configuration management tools ( Ansible, Puppet, Salt or similar )
2+ years’ experience in running large systems and Infrastructure
2+ years’ experience in Software Engineering
Experience with timeseries monitoring platforms, e.g. Prometheus, DataDog, NewRelic, SignaFX
Experience with logging systems based on the ELK stack
Experiencing with alerting systems, e.g. AlertManager, PagerDuty, OpsGenie.
Problem solving Skills are essential. Bring your stories form the trenches, we would love to know how you solved them.
The ability to work under pressure.
The ability to communicate to many stakeholders, some of which aren’t tech-savy.
Experience in breaking stuff. In a managed way of course. Chaos Monkey or similar skills would be good.
Responsibilities:
Help us define Service Level Objects, and measure these.
Eliminate the Toil – Automate the world.
Create effective monitoring and alerting systems.
Help us define a release process.
Provide input into large scale systems that fal into best practices.
Capacity planning.
Working with teams do develop best practices.
There will be an oncall component portion to this role.
Managing Incidents.
Post morten Reviews.
