The Team
Canterbury District Health Board is undergoing a transformation, we are readying ourselves to be able to provide Information Services for a public healthcare landscape that will be radically different to the last century. We are at the beginning of our Hybrid Cloud Transformation journey.
You will have a background in application delivery in a service orientated environment either as Infrastructure or Platform.
It is a real opportunity for you to join us as in an exciting period of technology transformation, where you will have the opportunity to guide and implement all of the processes and technologies required to make it work from commit to deployment.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for
ISG maintains hundreds of applications as well as the devices and systems to support them. You will be developing and implementing automation technology and associated processes to deploy new applications. You will also be modernizing existing application infrastructure and applications so that they become are part of the same Dev Ops deployment and management approach.
You will be building repositories of code and processes that take that code into a staged environment. You will also be developing test automation to prove the staged environments. You will be available 'out of hours' to cover cutovers of staged systems into production.
Your skills will include:
Ideally six years in a Software Engineering role
Hands on cloud experience - deployment of minimum viable cloud solutions (MVC) and application migrations
A tertiary level qualification - Post-graduate University degree in software development, computing systems, information services, science, engineering or related field
Public Cloud Certification(s) and experience in a popular cloud platform (Azure/AWS/Google) are highly desirable
Experience in Jenkins, Teamcity, Azure Devops or other CI/CD Pipline
Live and breathe Agile, Dev Ops and Automation
Experience of traditional IT Infrastructure operations an advantage
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build good relationships at all levels
Experience working in a large organisation and/or in a pressured and ever-changing environment
Knowledge of Health environment would be preferable
