As Senior Design Analyst Lead, you will apply your problem-solving skills daily and turn challenges into opportunities. You’ll enjoy organisation and attention to detail while working to a high level of performance, often with competing priorities, to contribute to the success of the 2023 Census program.
You will be accountable for working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to lead the design, development and operational running of the 2023 Census Processing and Analytics Systems. This team includes Design Analysts, from Statistical Infrastructure, Statistical Methods and Census, together with architects from Digital Business Solutions and Enterprise Architecture.
A crucial part of the role will be leading the implementation of best practice Statistical Software Development to build the workflows and statistical transformations used to process and analyse the 2023 Census. In this role you will lead, coach and mentor Design Analysts engaged in software development in a data systems context.
Using our new Enterprise Test Environment you will be leading the implementation of automated testing best practice, using a Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) approach.
Starting salary: $88,327 - $119,501 negotiable depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
About you:
Confidence communicating technical information effectively with a wide range of people.
A customer centric approach and ability to build strong relationships.
3+ years of professional software development experience in a team setting.
Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases in an enterprise environment.
Confident reviewing code, providing feedback and mentoring junior developers.
Experience and desire to work in an Agile development environment.
