The role
Our Senior Demand Planner will have responsibility for all consensus forecasting activities globally and will lead the development and execution of the demand planning cycle, creating and maintaining forecasts which incorporate business intelligence and demand signals gathered from sales, marketing, finance and other sources.
Our Senior Demand Planner will:
Prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast results.
Manage the development and execution of the demand management process and rules governing acceptance of orders and commitment of supply.
Coordinate cross-functional activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
Ensure ongoing maintenance & review of the planning and forecast system (SAP).
Ensure accurate and timely input to Supply Planning to ensure inventory levels are within company target stock levels for existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
IBP is also a part of this role where our Senior Demand Planner will lead the preparation of the monthly Pharma & Consumer Demand Reviews, including consolidation and distribution of presentation materials, preparation of plans, and meeting notes/action items.
What you'll bring and be valued for
At least 5 years' experience in demand planning or alternate planning roles.
Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices.
An understanding of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is also preferred.
Advanced knowledge in demand planning, forecasting and statistical processes.
Experience of SAP ERP systems, especially Material Requirements Planning and Production Process; and forecasting software.
Exposure to the FMCG, manufacturing, healthcare or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.
A university qualification in statistics, logistics, business, or operations management/supply chain is desired.
