An exciting opportunity has presented at TDHB for a Senior DBA to join our forward thinking Infrastructure Team within ICT Services. You should ideally be currently in a senior DBA position, or have gathered enough knowledge and experience to transition into a Senior Role. Although there are great opportunities for further education and personal improvement, there is an expectation that the applicant brings well-established knowledge and experience to this role.
The successful applicant will have, at a minimum
7 years plus enterprise level Microsoft SQL database administration is required.
Demonstrable leadership qualities in the MS SQL technology space.
Mastered the art of day-to-day maintenance and general BAU activities, including licensing obligations.
Is capable of developing and executing strategies and solutions for an entire SQL environment.
Is self-driven, and capable of effectively managing and prioritising workload.
Has an exceptional understanding of current and emerging MS SQL technologies; particularly in the areas of availability, efficiency and cloud implementations (on-prem & off-prem).
Has a proven track record of developing and executing/deploying MS SQL strategies and architecture.
Strong knowledge around data architecture and data warehousing.
Is experienced in providing support and QA to in-house developer and information management teams.
Strong awareness and ethics around data integrity, privacy and security.
Competency around data extract delivery through various technologies.
A well-honed ability to produce clear and concise documentation for solutions, and possesses strong interpersonal skills to enable clear and concise communication with users, team mates and leaders/management.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Applicants with current relevant Microsoft Qualifications are preferred.

This position reports to the Infrastructure lead within the ICT Services team, however the senior nature of this role expects a certain degree of autonomy and ownership/leadership in this area.
