Are you our next Senior DBA?

You should ideally be currently in a senior DBA position, or be able to demonstrate you have enough knowledge and experience to transition into a Senior Role. Although there are great opportunities for further education and personal improvement, we require that the applicant brings well-established knowledge and experience to this role.

The successful applicant should have, at a minimum

7 years plus enterprise level Microsoft SQL database administration is required Demonstrable leadership qualities Mastered the art of day-to-day maintenance and general BAU activities Has a sound knowledge of SQL licensing obligations. Is capable of developing and executing strategies and solutions for an entire SQL environment, including architecture development. Is self-driven, and capable of effectively managing and prioritising workload. Has an exceptional understanding of current and emerging MS SQL technologies; particularly in the areas of availability, efficiency and cloud implementations (on-prem & off-prem). Strong knowledge around data architecture and data warehousing. Is experienced in providing support and QA to in-house developer and information management teams. Strong awareness and ethics around data integrity, privacy and security. Competency around data extract delivery through differing technologies. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and a well-honed ability to produce clear and concise documentation for solutions. Possesses strong interpersonal skills to enable clear and concise communication with users, team-mates and leaders alike. Applicants with current relevant Microsoft Qualifications are preferred.

This position reports to the Infrastructure lead within the ICT Services team, however the senior nature of this role expects a certain degree of autonomy and ownership/leadership in this area.
