Our client is a leading financial services firm.
An opportunity is available for an experienced data analyst to join a high-profile and in-demand team, assisting with the development of the function, solving tactical problems and confidently delivering business enabling results across the spectrum of data and analytics. This is a contract role with an initial horizon of 3-6 months.
This role will see you championing enterprise-wide business performance; deep-dive analysis; and the day-to-day management of ad-hoc requests, leading to more informed stakeholders who feel confident in their fact based decisioning.
Duties will include:
Alignment and agreement of data definitions, calculations, metrics and interpretations.
Assist on the journey of building awareness and education of the value of data and the power of analytics.
Build, manage and maintain visual dashboards representing key metrics across the customer lifecycle and/or the organisational value chain.
Working in conjunction with the finance teams, implement a variety of data analysis techniques to answer key business challenges.
Managing and delivering to ad-hoc requests.
Assisting the data and analytics community and cross-functional teams to implement action stemming from analytics work.
To be considered for this role you will ideally hold a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and have something in the region of 8 years’ experience in a similar role where you are working hands on with enterprise systems, data extraction and interrogation, reporting and analysis. It would be highly desirable if you had experience implementing data science techniques to answer business challenges in the financial services sector. Your core skillset will focus on data extraction and manipulation, report writing, data visualisation and storytelling, data analysis, interpretation and the ability to communicate your results to a diverse audience. Systems skills will include SQL, PowerBI (or similar) and Excel. Knowledge of R and Python are desirable.
