Kainga Ora - Homes and Communities brings together the three existing agencies of Housing New Zealand, HLC and KiwiBuild to form a new organisation.
We do amazing, important work. We contribute to thriving communities that provide New Zealanders with good quality, affordable homes. Our work supports people to have good access to jobs, amenities and services; as well as improving the wellbeing of current and future generations.
We do this by being a world class public housing provider, and partnering with others to deliver urban development projects.
Ko ta matou mahi - Our Role
We seek a Senior Communications Advisor who will play a critical role in bringing Kainga Ora and KiwiBuild's strategic communications priorities to life, supporting both internal and external communications.
You will contribute to a culture of open, two-way communication by providing strategic advice and solutions to senior management on communication matters, and through the implementation of best-practice guidelines.
Nga pumanawatanga ou - What you will bring
Relevant tertiary or communications qualification, coupled with extensive communications experience, including leading communications programmes at programme level
Demonstrated aptitude for writing clearly, with the ability to analyse and distil strategic and technical concepts down into simple and clear language
Excellent people skills, with strengths in relationship management
Demonstrated experience in managing and communicating change
Political awareness and sensitivity
