About the role:
We currently have two exciting opportunities for driven Senior Commercial Analysts to join our Residential and Business Pricing Teams. Reporting to the Commercial Pricing Manager, this key role will lead analysis on new and existing products to identify value opportunities and ensure pricing is optimised across our three fuel types (Gas, LPG and Electricity).
Responsibilities:
Employ advanced analytical techniques, using enterprise tools to create a greater understanding of pricing and value.
Develop and maintain quantitative models to ensure they provide accurate and timely analysis and early assessment of competitors pricing offers.
Use effective communication and intuitive reporting to support more accurate and timely decision making.
Work with pricing operations team to support delivery of new pricing plans across Retail books through improved profitability analysis and price assessment.
Drive the delivery of automated pricing tools to the business that are flexible, fast, user friendly, and connect seamlessly into implementation.
About you:
At least 5-7 years business experience within a commercial and analytical environment
Solid experience in working in data rich environments and presenting insights to management/non-technical audiences
Proven track record of effective business partnering through the provision of commercial analytics
Understanding and knowledge with systems development, VBA, SQL developer and SAS is preferred
Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
Experience in retail pricing/energy trading or financial analysis is preferred
A collaborative, proactive and engaging style will be key in enabling you to work alongside the wider business and external parties. Additionally, demonstrated influencing and stakeholder management skills, strength of character and a strong, credible track record of delivery and excellence in execution and are essential.
Working in a small team (we follow Agile methodology), this will be an autonomous role suited to a self-starter who enjoys working with internal and external stakeholders such as our Executive GMs, Business Managers, Finance and the Wholesale team.
