We have an exciting opportunity for aSenior Business Analystto join our Financial Crime team in the Enterprise Services domain. BNZ Digital is responsible for creating and delivering innovative solutions that help our customers be better with money.
As a Senior Business Analyst within BNZ Digital you will be working within a talented development team and be responsible for delivering high quality analysis, requirements and recommendations and to ensure that systems are designed and maintained to meet the needs of:
The Bank's customers.
Our internal partners and customers.
System / channel strategy and objectives.
The role purpose is achieved through providing advice and undertaking analysis in support that supports the exaction of our product vision and roadmap.
What you'll do:
Day to Day:
Work as part of a broader Agile product team that's focused on defining and developing solutions which deliver value to our customers via digital channels.
Manage the backlog in terms of collation, assessment, and sizing. This includes ensuring that that the functional aspects of a given feature or service are well understood, and the linkages, dependencies and outcomes are all effectively catered for with no unexpected consequences across the business.
Use your exceptional research, data analysis and decision-making skills to assist in the prioritisation and delivery of a wide range of enhancements and bug fixes through to implementation.
Work across the functional stakeholders, including engagement at working groups etc. to tease out details, assist is scoping support functions, and supporting materials for customers and internal service suppliers.
Manage artefacts as per standard BNZ processes throughout the SDLC.
Support your team in recognising opportunities for stakeholders to leverage from existing system / channel functionality and make recommendations to increase the use and usability of the system / channel.
Undertake timely engagement and ongoing communication with key stakeholders to ensure requirements are being met and expectations are being managed.
Take responsibility for development of own Business Analysis skills, through identification of self-development areas, maintenance of Individual Development Plan, working with you people leader to identify formal, informal, on-the job training/opportunities.
Familiarise yourself and always comply with BNZ's health and safety policy and procedures. This includes recording and reporting all hazards, discomforts, accidents or incidents to your people leader.
Managing Risk:
Ensures changes to risk processes and policies are implemented.
Identifies causes of loss or risk.
Takes immediate and appropriate action to minimise day-to-day risk to business
What you'll have:
Essential:
7-10 Years practical experience
Experience in relevant business, project or technology environment
Ability to think broadly and draw on personal experience in business, project or technology environment
Outstanding ability to communicate to all involved parties
Desirable:
Experience working within an Agile software development environment
A passion for solving real customer problems
Experience working with Banking industry products or services
Experience working with external vendors
Exposure to usability and / or best-practice design.
Interest in the Business requirements management methodology and developing best practice standards.
