Interact with Senior Leaders, including the CFO and Corporate Risk Manager, and work across our business
Challenging and meaningful work for Aotearoa
At Transpower, we stand together to keep the lights on for New Zealand - planning, building and operating the system that powers our country and lives, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our people are key to our success. Ensuring they are supported in their work and have the skills, knowledge and tools to deliver our strategic priorities, as well as our day-to-day operations, is essential.
About the team
The Enterprise Information Management (EIM) Team is responsible for the provision of information management and governance services to Transpower. Services include the development and oversight of a corporate information management framework, governance and management of Transpower's Content Management Systems, Transpower's controlled documents and offsite storage. As a public office Transpower's information management practice is obliged to comply with the Public Records Act 2005.
About the opportunity
In this newly created, high profile role you will work closely with the EIM team and Regulatory Affairs to design and establish governance and capability to deliver a sustainable and compliant approach to oversight of the enterprise-wide Controlled Documents process.
You'll partner with Transpower's subject matter experts to put an oversight lens across project work already underway and leverage the existing Information Management tools and processes already in place. You'll also work with senior managers and GMs to set up and implement appropriate internal governance practices.
What we're looking for
This is a highly visible role working across multiple areas of our business. Your goal will be to develop an enterprise-wide Controlled Documents solution that provides process sustainability managed by Enterprise Information Management.
To ensure your success you will bring:
Proven ability to collect, reconcile, summarise and present solutions from multiple sources and adapt to different audiences
Demonstrated capability to elicit and interpret business against regulatory requirements for IM and Corporate Risk
Demonstrated capability in programme management
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strategic thinking and pragmatic problem solving
An ability to influence and drive change that is cognisant of Transpower's regulatory obligations and priorities
To be considered, your CV and cover letter will clearly demonstrate:
Past success in gathering and analysing business requirements across different user groups, and providing advice on business and technical solutions
Experience in developing effective options for action and analysing complex issues
Significant experience in a similar role within a large and/or complex organisation
Experience in working with and/or designing and implementing internal governance frameworks
SharePoint knowledge/experience preferred. Must have data and platform literacy
A relevant tertiary qualification
