Senior Building Surveyor - Building Compliance

About the role:Our Building Compliance team is responsible for undertaking the territorial authority functions under the Building Act, ensuring buildings in Selwyn are safe and fit for purpose.
Working with our community, you'll promote a culture of compliance and understanding, supporting and being empathetic while achieving the necessary outcomes.We are on the lookout for a Senior in the Building Compliance team to cover 13 months of parental leave.
You will work as part of our close-knit team to deliver a superior end-to-end customer experience.Your key responsibilities will include:Technical support and supervision to team membersOperational leadership for day-to-day functionsService request investigations (end to end)Customer engagement, education, and conflict resolutionIssuing specialist advice to internal and external customersSite assessmentsReport writingDeterminationsIssuing of applications and noticesAbout you:Our ideal candidate will be calm, honest, and approachable with relevant BCA or TA experience enabling you to hit the ground running.
You are detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture when delivering work.
