Transport has the potential to shape our city for the better - from the streets we live, work and spend time on, to the trains, bus services, cycle and walkways we use every day.Te Whiwhinga mahi| The opportunityIn this role you will conduct a range of internal audit reviews across Auckland Transport (AT) to support the strategic objectives of delivering safety and customer centricity in our services.
You will review and assess our internal processes, controls and practices to provide senior management, the Finance and Assurance Committee and the board with an independent and objective assessment on their design and operating effectiveness.Key responsibilities include:Conducting internal audit reviews within agreed budgets and timeframes.Compiling audit reports, ensuring that findings are accurate and valid and that recommendations are adding value to the business and senior managementFollowing up on agreed action plans resulting from internal audit reviewsAssisting with preparing quarterly internal audit updates to the Finance and Assurance CommitteeProviding input into the strategic and operational risk- based audit planProviding input into the development of internal audit policies and proceduresBuilding effective relationships at all levels of the organisation using your strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.Promoting risk management across ATNa tau rourou | What will you bring?3+ years' audit, accounting or risk experience or 5 years' experience in related fields such as business analysis/advisory and IT systems.Ability to use or exposure to, SAP, RAMM and audit interrogation programmes would be advantageous.Experience in a large, complex, politically sensitive environment.Relevant tertiary qualification e.g.
