This is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing Investment Management practice and further develop your legal and commercial skills while mentoring junior lawyers.
What does the role involve?
We can offer you the opportunity to join a high performing team which often works on international and cross border matters. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fulfil this position on a full time or part time basis.

On a day to day basis you will have the chance to:
Work in a team-based environment, working collaboratively, with the partners and senior associates
Prepare transaction documents for investment management business acquisitions and disposals and major investment management outsourcing arrangements
Prepare investment fund formation documentation including constitutions, product disclosure statements and information memoranda
Prepare advices on corporate and financial services laws impacting investment managers in Australia
Assist global investment managers operating in the Australian market
Obtain offshore advice from other K&L Gates offices for Australian investment management clients with overseas operations, in particular in the US, UK, HK and Singapore
Assist investment management clients involved in ASIC enforcement action and where significant regulatory breaches have been identified
Assist investment management clients with business transformational projects
About you

We are looking for a lawyer with 6+ years' experience in a corporate/commercial practice area. Previous financial services experience, although not essential, would be beneficial. You should be practical and proactive in your approach in addition to demonstrating strong problem solving skills and work well in a team. A high level of client service is expected as are excellent organisation, written and oral communication skills.
