ABOUT THE ROLE
Capital & Coast District Health Board (CCDHB) is on a path to delivering new innovative models of care that aim to deliver the best possible health outcomes for its communities. To do this well, the DHB wants to increase its capability and capacity to generate insights that support effective health system thinking and service development. The DHB is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to join its Analytical team. This hands-on position will be responsible for enhancing the analytical capability of CCDHB and providing insights to support the strategic decision-making of the organisation.
The role will be focused on our Hospital Health Services and a strong ability to analyse services to support decision making around complex tertiary and secondary models of care will be core to your success in the position. Familiarity with, case mix, costing models, the National Costing Collection and Pricing Programme and significant experience working with large and complex data sets will also be an asset. You will need a proven track record and be able to demonstrate exemplary modelling skills. Familiarity with social investment approaches would be valuable. You will be someone who is quick to understand the operational side of the organisation and to identify opportunities to effect strategic change by looking at long-term financial, clinical and social implications. Key to success in these roles will be your stakeholder engagement skills. Some experience within the health sector would be an asset.

CCDHB provides public, primary and hospital based health and disability services to Wellington, Porirua and the Kapiti Coast. With an annual budget of $1 billion, CCDHB serves a population of around 300,000 and regionally around 750,000 people. It directly employs around 4,300 equivalent fulltime staff. CCDHB's challenge is to balance the complexities of delivering sustainable high quality health services that improve health outcomes in a fiscally responsible way.
