The TEC - Te Amorangi Matauranga Matua is a small Crown agency with a big job to do – ensuring New Zealanders have the skills and the knowledge they need to ensure lifelong success to build a great country. We lead the Government's relationship with the tertiary education sector in New Zealand and provide career services to lift the aspirations and skill bases of all New Zealanders from ages 7 to 74.
We're seeking a Senior Analyst for an initial two-year fixed-term to support the Reform of Vocational Education (RoVE) programme. RoVE is the largest transformational change in the education sector in over 30 years, creating a strong, unified, sustainable system for all vocational education.
You will be working in the project team responsible for the design and creation of Workforce Development Councils (WDC's), and supporting the design and implementation of a process for shifting the arranging of training function currently held by ITOs to education providers. This project represents a core component of the programme, ensuring industry has greater control over vocational education.
What will you be doing?
Supporting key pieces of work for the project, which may include;
Analysing current and designing future operating models.
Establishment of new entities.
Designing and facilitating workshops.
Financial analysis.
Designing and implementing transition processes
Supporting change management and workforce transition.
What can you bring?
We require a broad range of skills for the project, we are looking for individuals strong in one or more of the following;
Vocational education sector knowledge, ideally the ITO sector with an understanding of the business models and existing institutions.
Operating model design and/or entity establishment.
Financial skills, including data collection and cost model development.
