Job Description

We work to ensure mental health and addiction services are strong, sustainable and safe for all New Zealanders. Our focus is on delivering on He Ara Oranga – The Inquiry response priority programmes.
There is an opportunity for 2 positions at either a Senior Advisor or Advisor level for our newly formed Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment Court (AODTC) Programme for a fixed term period of 12 months. We are open to the successful candidate being based in any of the Ministry offices around the country, but frequent travel to Hamilton and Wellington will be expected. As a Senior Advisor/Advisor you will be responsible for leading and or contributing to parts of the AODTC work programme, including preparing reports and other written communication.
To be successful, we are looking for your skills in building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including on the implementation of new initiatives, and have demonstrated advanced oral and written skills, including the ability to write for different audiences. Some experience of project management would be beneficial.

We ensure the system provides people with the highest levels of care, regardless of who they are or where they live.
