Senior Accounts Receivable AdministratorBased in Hastings, our client is a leading transport & logistics provider. The Senior AR Administrator will work with operations to ensure customers are invoiced accurately and timely. The role will effectively manage debtors and cash collection and support the wider finance function.Key Responsibilities:Billing and Invoicing:Generate and send out invoices to customers in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and that all executed work is captured by month end cut off.Review/audit customer invoices to make sure they align with agreed rates.Manage the setup of new customers, ensuring appropriate checks have been conducted.Issue monthly customer statements according to the agreed timetable.Assist Operations in resolving customer invoice queries and issues on a timely basis.Collections:Monitor overdue accounts, contact customers to secure payment, and negotiate payment plans when necessary. Keep accurate records of communication and collection efforts.Manage debtor aging/payments to ensure timely collection of income.Credit Management:Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers. Establish and maintain credit limits, and monitor credit terms.Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledger to the general ledger. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.Reporting:Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports. Provide regular updates and reports to management on the status of receivables.Produce reconciliations for Buyer Created Tax Invoice and Billing report.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in accounts receivable processes. Implement best practices and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, and other finance departments, to ensure a cohesive approach to accounts receivable management.Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent AR or Credit Management experience is highly sought. Experience working in a fast-paced dynamic environment is also required. Please note that only candidates with full New Zealand working rights will be considered for this role.
