Full Time Temp or Permanent Our client has a highly successful accounting firm here in Rotorua and is receiving tremendous growth They currently require a knowledgeable Accountant to hit the ground running to assist their accomplished team We are on the hunt for a candidate that has a high level of communication and facilitation skills along with relationship management knowledge to lead a team Financial modelling skills accompanied by an understanding of quantitative methods including advanced spread sheeting is required to be successful in this position The position has responsibility for the following key areas of the business Manage client relationships Assess financial data and provide advice to clients Facilitate and assist new business start ups Develop and implement improved systems within the organisation Preparation of monthly financial statements Preparation of annual financial statements Undertake all tax compliance obligations Review payroll debtor and creditor functions Preparation of standard and customised financial reports Provide tax advice and Inland Revenue Department interpretation to clients Review the preparation of GST returns PAYE returns and other client tax obligations Review financial systems for clients Liaison between clients and auditors re financial accounts audit process Assist clients with the preparation of board papers for monthly board meetings Provide full secretarial services including minute taking Preparation of training modules for staff and clients Attend training meetings and facilitate training sessions with staff and clients Preparation of client strategic business financial and marketing plans Identify new business opportunities Essential skills required High level problem solving analytical business research and report writing skills Confidence and capability to present complex information to individuals and groups Initiative and team work skills Advanced accounting systems and financial management and analysis skills Advanced knowledge of Accounting Principles Excellent understanding of the New Zealand Taxation Environment Desirable knowledge Knowledge and ability to use MYOB AO Xero and similar software To register your interest apply online now at www personnelresources co nz or email a copy of your Cover Letter and CV to service personnelresources co nz Further information is available by phoning Emma Haley Anna Ashlyn or Angelique on 07 348 2424 CONFIDENTIALITY ASSURED
