Senior Accountant Financial Controller

The Capital Precut Group of business s comprise a family owned holding company and various subsidiaries active primarily in residential building pre cut and prefabrication and House design They are based in Masterton and active primarily in the lower North Island They are looking to appoint a senior Accountant or Financial controller to report to the General Manager The role will be in two parts one person may be appointed to both parts alternately separate appointments will be made Applications for both positions are invited First Review the current underlying financial system for fitness for purpose and current financial statements including consolidation for GAAP compliance Review existing management reports cost centre reporting etc as produced Create modify concise one page summary reports for the Group and subsidiaries including trends and forecasts intended for board reporting and management use including for Balance sheet P L receivables cashflow rolling 12 months and 3 5 year quarterly Create modify management reports for cost centres including for work load forecasting and management profitability efficiency etc Secondly Produce monthly and annual financial statements and summaries including trends and forecasts intended for board reporting and management use including for Balance sheet P L receivables and cashflow Produce monthly management reports for cost centres including for work load management profitability and efficiency Manage the day to day financial functions of the business including AR AP Payroll etc etc Generally as the professional accountant within the Group provide timely and proactive observations and advice as to all matters financial as affect the group and subsidiaries The person s The first part will require someone relatively senior chartered accountant of 15 years experience from a relevant industry It is anticipated this role may take several months either fulltime or part time The exact duration won t become apparent until the reviews as described are completed The second part may be either a part time role for the person undertaking the first part or a part time role for a semi retired experienced finance professional or a fulltime role for an intermediate experience accountant with at least 5 years experience All preferably but not necessarily from a relevant industry Please Email CV with a cover letter before 30 04 2020 Remuneration to be negotiated
