About the Role
The key responsibilities of Senior Accountant is to provide support on accounting and reporting for CLSAP NZ? derivatives business. The role will also be responsible for supporting business finance with preparation of various management reports, as well as regulatory reports required by FMA.
Key requirements to be successful in these roles include:
Daily book keeping, client money reporting and monthly management accounts;
Monthly reconciliation of all other balance sheet accounts;
Preparation and presentation of accurate reports in accordance with deadlines to support senior management oversight and decision making;
Variance reporting to budget and analysis of such variances;
Prepare regulatory reports on time required by FMA/ASIC including monthly NTA reports, cash-flow forecasts;
Responsible the process of annual audit, with respect to annual financial statements, and assurance engagements required with respect to NTA calculations, financial resources controls and client money;
Provide local HR support including but not limited to payroll, letter preparation, HR data collection;
Provide support to group HR including but not limited to generating report, HR data preparation
Provide support on regular office tasks upon request;
Support business compliance with financial resources;
Prepare monthly/ad hoc financial/management reporting pack to Mainland head office;
Prepare/Review day to day accounting and financial control tasks such as preparing accounting entries, reviewing & analysing ledgers, performing reconciliations etc;
Prepare/Review various reconciliation reports, such as bank reconciliation and broker reconciliation;
Responsible for corporate tax computations and annual tax filing;
Participate in system projects and perform user acceptance testing;
Qualifications, skill & experience:
Degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant business discipline;
More than 5 years of relevant working experience in the financial services industry;
Working knowledge of financial instruments and investment products;
Adapting and responding to change: adapts to changing circumstances and tolerates ambiguity; accepts new ideas and change initiatives; shows an interest in new experiences;
Good analysing skill: able to analyse data, probes for further information or greater understanding of a problem and make rational in assessing control risk and issues;
Delivering results: the ability to manage competing priorities, requiring escalation, and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment;
Keen on personal development with long term commitment to company;
Proficiency in use of computer systems including MS office, ERP systems such as SAP;
Good command of written and spoken Mandarin and English;
CA/CPA Preferred.
