Security Team Member

Join to apply for the Security Team Member role at Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited.This is a key role to the overall success of our store, ensuring all property, merchandise, monies, and personnel are kept in a safe and secure environment.
You will also help protect the Mitre 10 MEGA image by delivering excellent customer service and acting in the best interests of the company at all times.As part of this full-time role, you will:Ensure team members' awareness of suspect 'customers' is maintained through regular updates, including photographic evidence where available, and training.Apprehend shoplifters or dissuade potential thieves using appropriate techniques advised by the existing team and local community constable, without endangering safety.Liaise with local police and other retailers for updates and exchange of information on known offenders in the area.For this role, we seek someone who ideally has relevant work experience, but you need to be able to:Cope under pressure – remain calm and not get flustered.Have a quick and alert mind – be resilient and resourceful.Be self-motivated.Maintain the highest integrity and honesty at all times.Ensure our customers have a fantastic shopping experience.Demonstrate positive and professional behaviour at all times.Have a good level of physical fitness.This is your chance to grow your career within our store, where you will develop your skills while working in a role with variety and scope for advancement.
