Security Team Leader

Our WhyDatacom works with organisations and communities across Australia and New Zealand to make a difference in people's lives and help organisations use the power of tech to innovate and grow.The Role (Your Why)We are seeking the best in the physical security space to join our rapidly growing security practice.As a Security Team Lead, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and supporting IP-based access control, intrusion detection, alarm systems, video management, and analytics.
You should have in-depth Gallagher experience and certification, enabling you to design, program, troubleshoot, and maintain systems, as well as guide others.
An IQP registration is preferred.What You'll Do:Engage with clients to gather requirements and discuss technical solutions for security and other business issues.Design solutions, specify equipment, and produce quotes.Implement security solutions using Genetec, Milestone, and Gallagher, including access control, alarm management, intrusion detection, video, license plate recognition, and analytics.Support existing security sites.Schedule and manage installations, including resources.Guide junior staff in system installation and support.Attend security product training and obtain relevant certifications.Adhere to the NZ PSPLA code of conduct and guidelines at all times.What You'll Bring:We seek a motivated, team-oriented self-starter with excellent communication skills and a drive for continuous improvement.
Requirements include:Over five years of security implementation and support experience in a senior role.Gallagher certification.Customer support skills for access control solutions up to 3rd level support.Cabling installation experience.Working at heights EWP certification.Experience in security solution design, programming, and installation.Knowledge of video management and license plate recognition.Preferably IQP registered.The candidate must be registered as a NZ PSPLA Security Technician or Security Consultant.Why Join Us at Datacom?Datacom is one of the largest IT professional services providers in Australia and New Zealand.
