Port of Tauranga is New Zealand's largest port and international cargo gateway. We operate a Customs Controlled Area, governed by strict access controls to manage over a million people who swipe in and out of our gates on an annual basis.
We are looking for a number of Casual/Fixed Term Security Officers to provide a professional security service which maintains the integrity of our security systems.
The roles will involve duties to assist our current security team manage visitors during the cruise ship season (October-April), as well as gate security, security inspections, and other responsibilities where required.
As these are casual/fixed term positions, hours will not be guaranteed. The ideal candidates will be flexible to work throughout the week depending on shipping schedules.
Security Officers serve to ensure access to operational areas is authorised, and port users are compliant with Port policies and practices. Safety and protection of staff, port users, and property is a priority.
