We are on the lookout for experienced Casual Security Officers to join our team at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Te Matau a Maui, Hawke's Bay.This exciting role covers both the Hastings Memorial Hospital and the Napier Health Centre, providing 24/7 security services.This is an incredible opportunity for those considering a career in law enforcement, corrections, or related fields.

Your ability to connect with people and work collaboratively will set you apart.Essential skills and experience:Experience in security or a related field (healthcare or mental health experience is an advantage).Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Knowledge of or willingness to learn basic computer skills.Medical and physical fitness suitable for the role.Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).Ability to obtain a Security Guard License (COA).Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand:Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
