lf you'd like to work as part of a team that delivers health care services to children and families within the Southern District then this could be the role for you, come and join us in our Te Punaka Oraka: Public Health Nursing Service. You'll be located in Dunedin providing administrative support to the client based system and Child / Youth Health Programs for the Te Punaka Oraka Service.
You'll be responsible for providing secretarial duties for the Charge Nurse Manager, Population Health, including clinical administration, minute taking and general administration duties to help ensure the efficient running of the Child and Youth Health Team. You'll be using electronic information systems, paper-based files and inputting accurate data to our systems and conducting quality activities including running audits and reports.
This role would suit someone wanting to get into the health industry who has strong IT skills, with the ability to use Word, Excel, good touch-typing speed and accuracy, plus the confidence to pick up patient management systems and relevant computer programmes. You'll also have strong organisational ability, excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work as part of a dedicated team.A friendly 'can do' team approach is required along with excellent customer service skills, phone manner and computer speed and accuracy.
Given the nature of the work undertaken in this role and in this environment, it is also an absolute requirement that you understand and can demonstrate clear boundaries with regards to all aspects of privacy.

The salary for this position is between $43,580 to $51,259 (pro-rata for part-time) per annum and will be based on relevant experience and qualifications.
