Details of the offer

Kaiako (Primary Production)
Permanent
Full time (1.0 FTE)
Based in any Te Kura Office
Are you excited about the future of learning?
Do you want to work with the latest technology?
Keen to be part of a collaborative and innovative culture?
Keen to explore working remotely for part of your week?
Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school and provides personalised and authentic learning programmes from early childhood to NCEA Level 3, including young adult and adult learners.
We are looking for a creative, innovative Kaiako (teacher) who's a subject expert in Primary Production to NCEA Level 3, to join our Central South Region teaching team. The role can be based at any Te Kura Office and there may be the opportunity to work remotely for part of each week. This role will also include teaching Science, so you'll get the opportunity to support our students across both Primary Production and Science subjects.
It's an exciting time at Te Kura as we continue to innovate and transform the way we provide distance learning. In our online environment, we work with the latest technologies and are constantly growing in this space.
We're a Big Picture school, are forward thinking and do things a little differently, but that doesn't mean no student contact! You'll interact with students by communicating with students using online tools and guide a group of students as their Learning Advisor. Once alert levels are at an appropriate level you'll also interact with students at our advisories.
Interested in authentic learning, you model current pedagogy and are always coming up with new ideas. You're enthusiastic, collaborative, understand the key competencies of the New Zealand curriculum assessment practice and are committed to improving education outcomes for students.
If you've nodded your head whilst reading this and thought ‘this is me!' click that apply button, we want to hear from you!
Keen to know more about Te Kura, listen to Mike Hollings our Chief Executive, talk about the school and check out our 360 Virtual Tours.
For more information about the position, view the position description above, or contact John Nisbet, Regional Manager, Central South on 0800 659 988 extn 8871 or 027 214 4731 or e**********.
Applications must be lodged via the Te Kura Careers Website.
