Join a supportive, focused, and driven team at Surf Life Saving NZ, a highly respected organisation in New Zealand.As a Search & Rescue (SAR) Support Officer, you will report to the Lifesaving & SAR Support Manager.
Your responsibilities include:Supporting the effectiveness & resilience of the Surf Life Saving SAR teams and members.Facilitating local relationships between surf life saving SAR coordinators, regional lifesaving managers, and local SAR agencies.Ensuring the development of national and regional SAR support services (duty officers, peer support officers).We are looking for candidates who can promote a positive culture with a strong member delivery-centered ethos.
The successful candidates will need to:Work under pressure with great organizational skills.Communicate exceptionally and collaborate effectively.Advocate for Surf Life Saving in relevant forums with local & regional stakeholders.Qualifications and Skills:A thorough understanding of SLSNZ.Knowledge of surf life saving Search and Rescue operations.A passion for contributing to SLSNZ.Ability to develop and present content to diverse audiences.Demonstrated capability to build strong stakeholder relationships.Initiative to prioritize competing work demands and meet deadlines.Integrity to work unsupervised.Strong networking and relationship-building skills.Experience in charitable, not-for-profit, sporting, or volunteer organizations.If you are keen to join our amazing team and make your mark, please apply through the QJumpers platform with your Cover Letter & CV by 5pm Friday 14th February 2025.Interviews will be held online between the 24th & 26th February 2025.
