Auckland City, AucklandJob DescriptionThe University of Auckland Schools Partnership Office is looking for a permanent, full-time Schools Advisor with a focus on Pacific communities to join our Student Recruitment Team.About the roleThis role will involve advising prospective Pacific students, and students in general when required, about the programmes, the admission requirements and the enrolment processes for the University. You will be involved in school visits, presentations, open days and other events.More more information, please view the position description.Skills and ExperienceA person of Pacific heritage is essential for this position. You will be digitally literate, enthusiastic and hard-working, with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping others. The ability to develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with students (Pacific and others), their families, careers advisors and teachers, good customer service skills and small or large group presentation skills are essential. A tertiary qualification from a New Zealand university is essential, particularly in education, business or marketing.The successful candidate will be professional, have excellent interpersonal skills, strong organisational abilities, an excellent standard of written and spoken English and be adaptable to changing situations. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.You will need to be flexible with working hours as the role will include evening and weekend work and time out of Auckland.
