School of Music and Creative Media ProductionWellington
The School of Music and Creative Media Production is recruiting a full-time School Projects Coordinator for a fixed-term for up to three years. This project role has two key aspects; to build our external client base for professional project-based courses and student recruitment, marketing and promotion for our new programmes, courses and pathways that are being rolled out across 2020, 2021 and 2022.
To be successful in this role you'll need to demonstrate strong relationship management skills and have an ability to build strategic partnerships across government, cultural and/ or the commercial sectors. You'll be able to tap into existing networks and develop new ones to build up an external client base for professional project-based courses for our programmes
You'll be an expert on using social media to develop campaigns to recruit students to our new programmes, pathways and courses, and have proven skills in organising and promoting events. You will have an innate ability to communicate to a variety of audience both in writing and verbally. Planning and co-ordinating projects and events will be second nature and your keen interest and knowledge of the media, music and creative industries will be invaluable.
The School of Music and Creative Media Production delivers two undergraduate degree programmes, the Bachelor of Commercial Music and Bachelor of Creative Media Production. The Bachelor of Commercial Music offers majors in Music Practice, Music Technology and Music Industry. The Bachelor of Creative Media Production offers students pathways in film and TV, animation and VFX, game development, creative technologies and producing and directing.
The School is now also offering new Honours programmes for both Commercial Music and Creative Media Production as well as a Master of Creative Enterprise (MCE). The MCE is designed for students who are looking to apply professional strategies intrinsic to creative disciplines to develop and commercialise their practice.
