The School Manager brings this to life by driving client service excellence, ongoing business process improvement, and the management of a range of resources within the School.

The opportunity
The School Manager is the primary adviser to the Head of School and School Executive on all matters pertaining to the University, Group and School policies, operations and business processes. The position is also central to developing and maintaining a high performing and constructive professional staff culture, and acts as a primary link between the School and Arts, Education and Law Group and other Departments/Schools and administrative units ensuring quality and consistency of service delivery and positive teaching and student experiences.

This is a continuing, full time position at the South Bank campus; however the position will be expected to work on any campus of the University as required.

About you
To be successful within this role, you will have extensive management experience, strong leadership skills and experience managing finances resources, and risk. Your ability to think strategically will see you effectively contribute to strategic planning processes and your high level of organisational capability will see you successfully manage competing demands and deadlines. You have evidence of excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult and collaborate with diverse groups and stakeholders.

Within this role you will exercise initiative, and critically evaluate current systems and processes in order to contribute to the ongoing improvement of services of the School. While not essential, project management experience and previous experience in the Australian Higher Education sector or similar is desirable.
Salary range
HEW Level 7: $84,229 - $91,253 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $98,548 - $109,766 per annum.
