We will consider candidates with at least 3 years relevant work experience, who are eager to learn and have a "can do" attitude.Vacancy details:· Working hours and days: minimum 35 hours per week · Type of employment: Permanent and full-time· Place of Work: Christchurch City and surrounding areasWe are committed to a drug and alcohol-free workplace. Applicants should also not have any past or present criminal convictions.· The ideal candidate will need:· Talk with clients and discuss their needs and requirements.· Estimate the time and scaffolding equipment required to complete each project.· Calculate scaffold loadings and decide what scaffolding platform to build.· Load up and unload scaffolding from trucks.· Fit steel tubes and support braces together to form the scaffolding framework.· Lay planks across the scaffolding for workers to walk on· Set base plates on the ground at regular intervals to stop the upright poles slipping.· Monitor the progress of the project and adjust the scaffolding structures as necessary.· Check worksites for hazards to get workers' safety secured.· Remove the scaffolding at the end of the project and ensure all scaffolding equipment have been collected and returned without damage.· Inspect the maintenance of scaffolding equipment as required regularly to ensure safety and stability.We offer a wage starting at $29.66 - $35.00 per hour depending on your skills and experiences.If you meet the above requirements, have a great work attitude and are a team player, are physically fit and with a willingness to work hard, please apply here.If this sounds like you, or you know someone who would be interested call Nathan - 021 084 07457 or 0800 660 022.
