Our client, a world leading business located in the Caulfield area is currently on the lookout for an experienced SAP Functional Consultant to join the team.
Initially, on contract for 6 months, our client offers a fantastic, long term opportunity for the right people within their team.
Key attributes/experience:
Strong SAP functional design skills and experience
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them to functional designs
Ability to work effectively with other key project team members: Business Analyst, Solution Architect, and Developers
Ability to quickly grasp existing complex systems and processes
High level of experience with projects involving multiple business areas, preferably including Supply Chain/Logistics and eCommerce
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Experience with SAP products/modules: Retail, Sales and Distribution, Logistics Execution
Experience working with 3PLs, including the design and build of interfaces between SAP and 3rd party systems
Experience integrating with microservices/AWS would be valuable
Key activities:
Work closely with the Business Analyst and Solution Architect to ensure alignment between the requirements, business process design, technical architecture, and functional design
Map existing functionality
Translate detailed requirements into functional designs, working closely with the Business Analyst, Supply Chain SME, and other key stakeholders
Assess functionality gaps and impacts of changes
Develop functional specifications for to-be business processes, including the provision of quality documentation and diagrams as appropriate
Articulate the functional designs to the developers
Support the project team during the detailed design and build phases, to ensure that functional designs are implemented correctly, and that they are aligned with the end-to-end business process design
Assist the business areas to develop acceptance criteria
Support the Test Manager and Testers to develop and execute functional test cases
