What you will doAs the SAP Functional Consultant you will lead the identification, analysis, design and delivery of SAP ERP System solutions to meet logistics business problems and opportunities. You will work closely with key stakeholders and system and policy owners on the SAP ERP direction and development to transform the use of SAP ERP to better meet NZDF's logistics requirements and priorities.You will act as an EPIC (Agile) owner for large and complex changes, leading the identification of end-to-end requirements, solution development and delivery, and effectively representing those changes to key stakeholders. You will also:

Translate the direction and requirements into the technical documentation and actions needed to ensure fit for purpose solutions that can be effectively used by the business and integrated into SAP ERP;
Provide direction, coaching and quality assurance and work in flexible, responsive and collaborative ways;
Contribute across all aspects of BESC's work as needed and continuously developing their own skills, and the expertise and standing of the team.

What we needTo be successful in this role you will be an enthusiastic, business and technology professional who has:

A deep specialist skillset in SAP ERP, including an appreciation of the functionality available and being developed;
A Strong expertise in developing and implementing effective SAP ERP solutions across a large, complex business;
Experience in managing the development and delivery of data architecture and governance changes, including the supporting processes;
The expertise in managing solution development processes preferably including Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps and the use of EPIC and Agile;
A broad understanding of logistics and in the way logistics operations are carried out across large complex organisation;
10+ years' of SAP functional experience particularly with the modules MM, PM, IM and RE with some knowledge of SD being advantageous, and ideally be SAP Certified.

Who we areThe roles will initially report into the Consolidated Logistics Project (CLP). CLP is charged with initiating, driving, co-ordinating and delivering a series of activities required to transform the delivery of logistics within the NZDF. You will be required to work closely with other members of the Project, logistics community and other stakeholders to develop end-to-end solutions, which will involve considering process, organisation, technology and information changes and impacts.Over the next year a Business Enhancement and Sustainment Capability will be established at which time these roles may become part of that capability and transition into the business. This is an exciting time to be part of establishing and building new capability for the NZDF and to deliver significant tangible outcomes.The role is fixed term for two years with plenty of room to expand your professional skills and work across a variety of initiatives.
