Sap Bi Consultant

Foodstuffs NZ Ltd is a major wholesaling and retailing cooperative providing high levels of service to our members which include; Pak N Save, New World, Four Square, Henry’s, Raeward Fresh, and On the Spot stores, throughout the New Zealand.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a SAP BI Consultant, to be based at our head office in Christchurch, to provide SAP technical support and expertise to our business. This is an ideal role for a technical expert to further develop their skills in our fast-paced BI team highly skilled professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
To develop new data models and enhance existing data structures within both SAP and non-SAP databases
To become a subject matter expert in the Foodstuffs National customer data repository and to share this expertise with colleagues.
To ensure data, processes and systems are accurately documented in a manner appropriate for both technical and business users.
Provide training to users and support staff.
To create visual and easy to use end-user reports in SAP and non-SAP front end tools.
To monitor data accuracy and quality, and to take necessary steps to ensure data is consistently reliable.
To ensure rapid support for data queries and resolution of any issues.
To identify, mitigate and prevent risks of BI solutions failure and to assist with problem analysis and fault resolution.
To design, code, test, and maintain business intelligence solutions.
The skills and experience required to succeed in this role include:
Minimum 2-year experience in SAP BW, ABAP for BW (ETL routines, BEx exits, extractors enhancement) and BEx designer.
Experience with database system, e.g. Oracle DB, MS SQL Server and DB2.
Strong analytical thinker and problem solver.
Strong customer facing experience such as getting business requirements and present solution.
Proactive approach and proven risk identification expertise.
Self-motivated team player.
