If you are not a 'desk job' kind of person, then this could be the right role for you!A Day In This Role Could Look LikeDriving throughout the greater Auckland and Waikato District areasWorking outside, sampling and field testing at a variety of land, air, and water quality monitoring sites around the greater Auckland and Waikato District areasCollecting and reporting of important data into key systemsHours Of WorkThe normal hours of work for this position are 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, Tuesday - Saturday.At times, the hours of work may need to be varied to cover specific business needs and applicants need to be able to work overtime where required.
In addition, applicants must be available to work on-call, outside normal working hours on a rostered basis and on public holidays where required.Nga pukenga e rapu nei matou | About youWe're looking for someone who is passionate about our communities and the environment, with these key skills and experiences to join our team:A tertiary qualification in environmental science or other science disciplineA full, clear drivers' licenceA reasonable level of physical fitness - you will be walking up hills (with some pretty good views) from time to timeExperience with field work would be advantageous as would experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems such as LabWare, although this is not essential.Nga hua mou | What's in it for youYou will have the ability to innovate and try new ideas in a supportive environment.
