About the role
This is a full time, permanent role based in the beautiful Waikato in our Hautapu store. As a Delivery Driver/Salesperson at Farmlands you'll be interacting with our shareholders whilst performing on farm deliveries of a range of products. You will also provide expert advice and service to all shareholders and customers coming into the store. You will take pride in delivering great retail branch standards including the receipt & dispatch of product, stock control, merchandising & customer service.
The hours are Monday to Friday with rostered Saturday mornings as required.
You'll also be able to:
Operate a forklift and drive our delivery vehicle
Develop product knowledge in a range of Farmlands products - including dairy and equine products and everything in between
Utilise your sound computer skills, and use a "state-of-the-art" touch screen POS system
Load and unload products and manage some heavy lifting
What you will bring:
A full car licence
Forklift licence and DG licence would be an advantage but is not essential
A strong customer service focus with an affinity to the rural sector
Knowledge of the dairy and equine industries would be an advantage
Physically fit - can work on your feet all day and comfortable lifting & carrying stock
Computer savvy - can confidently learn a Point of Sale and other Operations systems
Initiative, self-motivation and a "can do" attitude to help out where and when required
Above all, you will naturally be able to relate to a wide range of people and have an appetite for learning and growing.
