The Opportunity Our Farm Source Capability team report into the National Service and Sales Group with responsibility of supporting the deployment of the Farm Source Strategy.
In this role, you’ll be part of a team charged with continuously improving and growing the capability of our Service and Sales teams nationally, ensuring we meet the needs of our business today and anticipate the future capability required to deliver on our strategy.
More specifically, you’ll take responsibility for the design, development and deployment of integrated learning solutions and capability frameworks for us with our on farm, in store and over the phone sales and service teams across Fonterra Farm Source.
Other key responsibilities include:
Develop learning solutions that build expertise in our Sales and Service teams across functional competencies such as building customer value, sales execution, customer planning, delivering on marketing campaigns and others related functional competencies specific to Sales and Services
Work with the Digital team to integrate core sales behaviours within the system and advance technology as a strategic selling tool for productivity and team effectiveness
Develop strong internal and external networks and benchmark Fonterra B2B capability against best practice to keep us one step ahead
Develop and track metrics pertinent to building sales and service capability within Farm Source. Report key capability gaps and requirements back to Farm Source
Manage key stakeholder relationships within Farm Source to ensure collaboration and delivery of best practice sales and service behaviours and tools that align with our Capability approach and strategy
Cascade Fonterra’s strategic direction, inspire and motivate teams to lift performance and work together towards clear team and individual goals that deliver This is Fonterra

This role is ideally based in Hamilton, however we are open to considering Auckland-based candidates with the ability to travel to Hamilton 1-2 days per week.

About You
With a strong ability to champion and lead change, you’ll be well versed in delivering tailored approaches across audiences and embedding successful training programmes.Your solid background in L&D or senior sales leadership roles will allow you to focus on identification of gaps within the team or areas of improvement, bringing in practice in line with market best practice. Then design, implement, and roll out frameworks and coaching around this.
Confident engaging with a variety of stakeholders, you’ll be able to connect and influence teams as well as influence where required.
With that in hand, you should also have solid grasp of sales and account management best practice, lending to your credibility and ensuring you stay up to date with current best practice.
