Birdhurst Limited is a family-owned and operated apple and kiwifruit business.
Along with its postharvest entity, Golden Bay Fruit, it grows, packs, and sells fruit around the world.
With marketing staff based offshore, this Motueka company continues to expand and operate a highly automated packing facility using the world's leading technology.The company is now seeking a highly motivated Safety and Compliance Manager who can support the company's drive to continually build the right safety and quality culture across orchard operations.
You will need to have strong safety management skills in areas such as systems improvement, risk analysis, reporting, and SOP oversight, as well as a high skill level in using a wide range of MS Office software tools and databases.The successful candidate will ideally have sound experience in developing and maintaining quality systems and processes in the primary production sector in fruit or similar exports, including auditing and maintaining regulatory body standards.
Applicants with a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management or similar would be of particular interest.You will be joining a progressive business, and we are looking for candidates who balance commercial thinking with adherence to company values and compliance programmes.

You will work closely with the company's Pastoral Care team.Remuneration will reflect experience and qualifications.
