NZLocums&NZMedJobs is a division of the Network and is a not-for-profit service with expertise in both rural and urban recruitment.With support from Te Whatu Ora, we have introduced the Rural Hospital Locum Service.
This is a service that provides a fees-free recruitment service for rural hospitals across the country.
We don't charge any placement fees on rural hospitals, and we don't take away anything from a locum's salary.
We also support appropriately experienced and qualified doctors with permanent roles.About the roleWe are seeking expressions of interest from appropriately experienced and qualified doctors who are interested in locum opportunities to work across Oamaru Hospital and Gore Hospital in the South Island, on a contractual arrangement.This role will be pivotal in ensuring quality healthcare is provided to the rural communities that these rural hospitals serve.
No two days are the same at a rural hospital, and you will gain valuable experience working within a rural setting.For this role, we are trialling a timeshare model which includes:After completing 4 weeks of work, you will be entitled to 1 week leave.Support with or reimbursement for travel and accommodation while working.Working across Oamaru Hospital and Gore Hospital on an agreed period of time.About youYou may be a Dual Division of Rural Hospital Medicine/General Practice Education Programme Fellow, or a physician that has the expansive experience that matches what rural hospitals are looking for.If this sounds like an opportunity you would like to pursue or would like to know more about, please send your CV to (emailprotected).Please note, you must have a legal right to work in New Zealand.
