Thank you for your interest in this position.We have received your application from Indeed, so the first step of your application is complete.To finish your application we will email you further details.Roading ManagerThe Roading Manager plays a key role in ensuring that Council is supported through efficient, effective, and sustainable management of land transport assets and services and providing technical and strategic advice.Key responsibilities include:Providing outstanding customer services to our communities for our roading servicesSetting and managing opex and capex budgets and associated contractsProviding high-quality leadership for the roading services teamEstablishing and maintaining a high-level collaborative approach with key stakeholders including elected members, internal staff, roading professional services provider, consultants, contractors, and national agencies e.g.
Waka Kotahi NZTA, Waikato Regional Council, Ministry for Environment etc.Providing technical and strategic advice for Council's roading services and associated assets.What are we looking for?An experienced leader who is an astute communicator, adept at political acumen and a problem solver.
You will have an innovative mindset and ability to drive and influence successful outcomes.
You will also need:Outstanding customer service and relationship buildingWell-developed financial and business acumenExperience working and collaborating with external agencies e.g.
NZTA/MfE/MBIE etc.Proven experience in the development, procurement, and management of contracts for the delivery of service through external service providersA tertiary civil engineering qualification with specialization in highways/roading.
