Risk And Compliance Manager

About the Role:
Our client, a leading financial institution is on the look out for an experienced Assurance Manager to join their team based in Melbourne's CBD for a 6 month contract.

Reporting to the Program Director, the Assurance Manager will be responsible in developing Assurance Plans for projects and assisting in the direction of activities of Senior Consultants to deliver these plans.

Responsibilities:
Develop Assurance Plans for projects
Direct the activities of Senior Consultants and Consultants to deliver Assurance Plans
Execute assurance activities as outlined in the Assurance Plan, for example:
Delivery assurance reviews focussing on project establishment, execution and control;
Business and Technology Implementation readiness assessments; and
Post-implementation reviews.

Engage and co-ordinate BAU and external
Provide regular status of Assurance to key Program stakeholders.
Prepare Board and other senior governance forum papers on Assurance outcomes as required.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Experience:
5+ years experience working in Assurance management
Demonstrated experience in Delivery Assurance
Strong written and verbal communication skills with high proficiency across Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and interact Executive Level Stakeholders.
Transformation project experience highly regarded
Risk and control experience highly regarded (eg. Internal Audit, Risk or Assurance)
Project and Vendor Management experience highly regarded.
