PowerNet, a leader in energy distribution in New Zealand, is seeking a Risk and Asset Administrator to join our team in Invercargill.About the RoleAs a Risk and Asset Administrator, you will provide essential administrative support within our Finance and Regulatory & Risk areas.
Reporting to the Regulatory and Risk Manager with a secondary reporting line to the Finance Manager, this versatile role will also support our Financial Accountants.
If you're an efficient multitasker with a knack for organisation, analytical thinking and demonstrating a positive attitude, this role is made for you.Key ResponsibilitiesInsurance Administration: Manage day-to-day insurance administration and maintain accurate records.
Assist with claims management and the annual insurance renewal process in collaboration with our insurance broker.Financial Support: Help maintain network entity asset registers, prepare financial management reports, and assist with statutory and regulatory reporting.Risk Administration: Provide support for emergency management functions, assist in updating templates, and help develop scenario-based emergency management scripts.What We're Looking ForA tertiary qualification or relevant work experienceStrong financial acumen and analytical skillsAn understanding of insurance and risk processes may be advantageousAbility to meet tight deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skillsProven ability to source and analyse information from diverse sourcesCapability to learn new systems and improve processes while managing competing tasks effectivelyWhile relevant experience is beneficial, we understand that not everyone will meet every requirement listed.
