The Role | Te mahiIn this role you will be responsible for the management of revenue yield and reservations for the hotel on a day-to-day basis.
You will ensure an effective and professional reservations service to achieve maximum room revenue and excellent customer service.
This is a full-time permanent role based in Novotel Christchurch Airport.Responsibilities | Nga haepapaBalancing of financial objectives and maximizing total revenues and profitsImplementation of all reservation policies and proceduresConstant upkeep of all Reservation Systems to ensure accurate dataBuild and maintain high levels of communication with other teamsMonitor occupancy for upcoming 12 weeks and prepare a 3 month forecast each Monday to distribute to the Hotel ManagerKeep up to date with Local/National eventsEnsure special handling of repeats, VIP guests and special requestsActively liaise with the Conference & Events Sales Manager to confirm group room rates/requestsHave sound knowledge specified yield management practices and lead a weekly business strategy meeting with the Head of Department teamEstablishing monthly Budget / Business Plan and striving to achieve the agreed profitabilityHandle client compliments or complaints and ensure proper feedback to Hotel Manager for communication or rectification by department(s) concernedRequirementsAbout you | Ko koe teneiMinimum 3 years experience as Reservation Manager or Assistant Manager in a similar size hotelQualifications appropriate to the role e.g.
