The Far North District Council has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Resource Consent Engineer to join our dynamic and expanding resource consents team. Are you a strong communicator, good at-risk management and open-minded? We're looking for someone who brings: Suitable tertiary level qualification in engineering. 3+ years' experience in civil, structural, environmental and/or subdivision development engineering with a working knowledge of the Resource Management Act. Proven experience in development engineering practice, preferable within Local Government. Some experience in addressing engineering requirements within areas subject to natural hazards would be an advantage. Highly developed documentation, report and workflow process writing skills. High level relationship development, management and customer facilitation skills Experience and Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access) Demonstrated ability in project management including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with set timeframes Enthusiasm and commitment to excellence in customer service Resource Consents Engineer Delivery & Operations Group Proven interpersonal skills and ability to obtain collaboration and cooperation both internally and externally.
