Job Description

Our research group in the Department of Molecular Medicine & Pathology, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences on the Grafton Campus is looking to recruit a part-time Research Technician (18.75 hours per week) to assist in a preclinical drug-trial of a rare kidney disease by carrying out in vivo testing and analysis of tissues using histology and molecular biology methods.
The position is part-time for a period of 24 months.
To be successful in this role you will
Hold a MSc or equivalent degree in Biomedical Sciences or Biological Sciences;
Be able to demonstrate key laboratory skills including; Immunohistochemistry, western blotting, DNA/RNA extraction and PCR.
Have excellent communication skills are a must, as you will be required to work both independently and seamlessly as part of a busy team.
