Auckland City, AucklandJob DescriptionFaculty of Science Research ServicesFixed-term until July 2022, 30 hours part-timeThe opportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for a Research Operations Coordinator to join our Faculty of Science Research Services team, providing high-quality support for Cyber Security Host Research Programme (CSRP).This position is 30 hours part-time and is fixed-term until July 2022.The main aim for the Cyber Security Host Research Programme (CSRP) is to:increase new, high quality, exciting cyber security researchdevelopment and coordinate a national community for cyber security researchincrease high-quality New Zealand cyber-security research capability and ensure New Zealand and Australian cyber security research is well integrated.About the roleIn this role will involve:Building relationships - as key point of contact for CSRP, building effective relationships with key stakeholder and providing excellent customer-focused service will be second nature to you.Operational support - you will support the Director and research leads within the institute, coordinating activities and tasks, and assisting student support as requiredCoordination - you will coordinate and support the running of workshops and events and be responsible for maintaining the institute online presence and communicationsFinancial literacy - you will oversee and maintain financial records and reporting, providing advice to the Director(s), research leads and escalating issues when required.Planning and information gathering - you will support the institute, working alongside the Research Programme Manager and other Research Services unitsOur ideal candidate will:Have strong interpersonal and engagement skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationshipsHave a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong written communicationBe proactive, with the ability to use initiative and self-manage workloadsBe organised with excellent coordination skills demonstrated in coordinating previous eventsHave experience with financial systems and managing project budgets, with confidence in financial acumenHave experience of working in a complex and diverse environment ideally in a tertiary or research-intensive environment which will be an advantage.For more information on this role, please see the Position Description.Why us?This is an exciting time for Science Research Services and the research you will be supporting is groundbreaking in cyber security.
