We strive to provide a Faculty that reflects the demographics of our student base and Aotearoa.We have an exciting opportunity for a fixed-term, part-time Research Operations Coordinator to join our team at Te Punaha Matatini – Aotearoa's Centre of Research Excellence for complex systems.
Te Punaha Matatini is hosted by the Faculty of Science.You will be responsible for supporting the operational facilitation of a Centre of Research Excellence including coordination and executive support to the Directors, Research Operations Manager, and researchers.
You will act as a conduit between the research centre and other people/organisations both within the University and externally and ensure centre processes and activities are managed as efficiently and consistently as possible.This is a part-time (22.5 hours per week), 12 month fixed-term position.
The salary range for this role is between $62,400 - $77,800 depending on skills and experience (pro-rated).Our ideal candidate would have a relevant tertiary qualification and experience working in a research environment, or relevant work experience in a tertiary research environment.
You will need to have strong interpersonal, communication and engagement skills, with the ability to coordinate complex stakeholder relationships.Be proactive, with the ability to use initiative and self-manage workloadsDemonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong written communicationProactively organise and coordinate eventsHave experience of working in a complex and diverse environmentEnjoy working collaboratively and have the flexibility to adapt and work effectively in a variety of situationsApplications must be submitted online, by the closing date of 14 March 2025 to be considered.
